Another awesome NextUp Program in the books!

I've had an incredible year of teaching, instructing, and consulting.  From mentoring students at LA Mission College to consulting Ad Agencies for Youtube, I'm grateful to share my experiences and knowledge to those who need it.  One of my favorite programs is Youtube's Nextup program in which I was the co-lead TA and mentor.  I was once again able to help Youtube creators with 10k subscribers and up how to use basic filmmaking techniques to improve their channels.  I've taught and mentored at a total of 3 NextUp programs this year and all of them have been filled with amazing creators that I can now call my friends :)

Mentored in Sao Paulo, Brazil for Youtube's Business Building Workshop

I'm so grateful to have mentored and taught in Sao Paulo, Brazil for Youtube and CreatorUp's business building workshop to teach Brazilian creators how to create businesses out of their channels.  To see creators and experts excited to work together to help build their businesses was absolutely heart-warming and inspirational :)

Teacher for LA Mission College ICAPS Program

For 6 weeks, I taught at LA Mission College to a group of students for a course called "Getting a Job in Creative Industries: You, Your Skills, Your Portfolio" which was developed in collaboration between CreatorUp and LACC for I-CAP.  I had the pleasure of sharing my experiences and knowledge about my life as a creative in the creative industry to help them launch their artistic careers - another passion of mine that came to fruition this year!

 

Taught a 360 Course for Oculus and Digital Promise!

I had the pleasure of teaching an online 360 Video Course for Oculus and Digital Promise's VR FOR GOOD program!  The online course was used to teach instructors how to create 360 videos with ten rising filmmakers who work with ten nonprofits to tell their stories through VR :)  Taught through CreatorUp, the course dived through how to use a 360 camera to how to tell a story through the technology.

I've been shooting and editing a lot of 360/VR Content lately with my Ricoh Theta S, from Breakdancing and Wedding Videos, to Behind the Scenes and Travel Videos.  I've also shot on the GoPro Odyssey and will be releasing footage soon.  Want a 360/VR Video or need a director/producer with experience?   Contact me!  I've also been asked to teach an online course on 360/VR Video and am currently consulting companies and individuals on the technology :)

Last week, I had the pleasure of mentoring and teaching content creators for Youtube's NextUp program, which helps channels with 10k subscribers and up get to the next level.   This was all possible through CreatorUp, and I'm happy that I now have the experience and knowledge to help content creators grow on Youtube and other social media platforms, to create long lasting brands and businesses to sustain their passions :)

Now I plan to apply this experience to companies, brands, and individuals who are looking for ways to improve their branding, content creation, social media presence, and digital marketing strategies.  

Just Taught and Mentored At Youtube/CreatorUp's Business Building Workshop

I had a blast teaching and  mentoring at the Youtube Space LA for Creator Up and their Business Building Workshop.  I was able to help Youtubers with 100k+ subscribers alongside some very talented and experienced professionals and consultants.  It was an honor to be amongst such successful and talented people, can't wait for the next workshop!

I was interviewed and featured in the newest print and online magazine VAULT with a 2-page thread about the essential items I carry in my daily backpack.  It's awesome to finally show people the diverse talents and lives I have, including my Djing career.  And yes, I can fit that all in my backpack :)

Had an incredible weekend teaching and mentoring at the Ignite Conference at Ignited Spaces for Voyage Media and CreatorUp!  I was so happy to help other creators with their creative projects and transforming them into revenue generating brands.  Keep creating!
